Using Online Learning to Drive a Startup’s Learning and Development Strategies

When the time finally comes, the task of expanding your business with new employees can be huge, especially when confronted with not only training them but also creating an employee community that supports your business’ goals and mission. Having a solid Learning and Development Strategy that is in line with your company’s brand, culture, and tasks.

Having a solid Learning and Development Strategy that is in line with your company’s brand, culture and tasks is crucial to your start-up’s continued growth and longevity.

We will explore ways to create a cost effective Learning and Development Strategy that small businesses can and should begin to formulate before they find themselves in the position of needing to hire.

This is a brown-bag lunch event so bring your own lunch! Soft drinks and water will be provided. This workshop is free – but you do need to register!

Our Instructor:

Shannon’s career in training started twenty years ago when she became a dog trainer. The secret behind “dog training”, is that it is not really dog training, it is people training. For twenty years Shannon had an amazing career of not only helping dogs but helping their owners create the lives they wanted with their dogs. While Shannon was a dog trainer, she also worked in Government Sector training. It was in this role that Shannon developed a love for not only technical training and helping employees relate policy to required procedures, but most importantly, to building programs that help encourage employee commitment and passion to their work roles and the larger organization.

Shannon founded her own training consulting business, Unsupervised Possibilities, where she applies her beliefs about training and years of experience in many different training settings when working with clients to help evaluate and improve an organization’s training and workforce. Shannon believes that every organization should have access to quality training programs and materials, that not only move the organization forward but builds a united team, committed to the overall goal of the organization. Quality training leads to Unsupervised Possibilities for growth – where individuals within the organization can work independently for the team outcome and feel respected and appreciated while doing so.
